Information Wanted
On June 20, 2023, at 1:20 p.m., a white 2018 to 2023 Chevrolet Silverado, possible Z71 model, was exiting the “7th Street Market,” and attempting to negotiate a eastbound right turn onto 7th Street. A pedestrian, who is a “Business Improvement Districts” employee, was sweeping at the apron of the parking lot when his foot was run over. The driver briefly stopped and then immediately drove off eastbound on 7th Street towards Alameda Street.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital. The pedestrian was admitted into the hospital for non-life-threatening severe injuries.
The truck is equipped with black rims, a bed liner, a sun roof, tinted windows, and drives with a tow hitch. Video of the truck and the hit-and-run is posted on Central Traffic’s social media accounts: YouTube “LAPD Central Traffic,” Twitter @LAPDCTD24, Instagram @LAPD_CTD_24
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a
Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
