The Cathode Ray Podcast is a series with CRT shaman Steve from Retro Tech and Louis Zezeran from Zez Retro. Together they talk about CRTs, TVs and other retro gaming topics. We tend to think retro gaming is the last bastion of our beloved CRTs however, these units have been used in visual art exhibitions since their inception. Steve is doing some upcoming consulting and maintenance work for a large museum with an extensive collection of CRTs. In preparation for that work, he created this presentation looking at some of the most notable uses of CRTs in visual arts in the second half of the 20th century.
