Today we are preparing for Spring gardening and looking forward to planting in the next couple of weeks! Also tonight for supper we are having Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, homemade biscuits and corn on the cob! Salisbury Steak recipe 2lbs ground beef 1/2 cup crushed crackers or bread crumbs 1/4 cup milk salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika to taste 1/4 cup AP flour Chicken Broth worcestershire sauce Combine ground beef, crackers, milk and seasonings. Patty them out, dredge them in flour, brown in frying pan with grease. Remove once golden brown. Add flour to grease, make a roux, add worcestershire sauce. Add in chicken broth until gravy is the consistency of your liking . Add patty's back into gravy, simmer for 15-20 minutes. Biscuits 2 cups AP flour 1-2 tsp salt 1 heaping tablespoon of baking powder 2 tbsp lard 2-3 tbsp butter 1 cup(ish) of buttermilk Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Cut in lard and butter. Add buttermilk until you have a workable dough. Cook on 450 for 10-15 minutes until biscuits are golden brown. If you enjoyed this video be sure to check out more here!
