Do you remember that periodic table in your chemistry class? No? Neither do I! But thereāre some strange elements that you didnāt even know existed and Iāll show you right now. Theyāll blow your mind!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bromine
With atomic number 35, this is the bromine. It used to be called liquid fire as itās reddish and corrosive to human tissues.
Astatine
This element is very strange and only available in tiny quantities. It canāt even be observed.
Rhodium
This element has a lot to do with platinum as it is found in mines. That's why 80% of rhodium's production is in South Africa.
Berkelium
Metallic, radioactive and synthetic! The berkelium, with atomic number 97, was discovered in 1949 at the University of California, Berkeley ā USA and named after that city.
Protactinium
Itās a radioactive metal with a short half-life and atomic number 91. Its name comes from the Greek āprotosā meaning first.
Iridium
Itās a very corrosion-resistant element, dense but brittle, and silvery-white. With atomic number 77, the iridium belongs to the platinum family.
Cesium
The cesium is a soft metal which is usually liquid at room temperature, as its melting point is 83.3Ā°F.
Rubidium
Itās a metallic element of the alkali group, silvery, shiny and highly reactive. The Rubidium might burn in the air with a yellowish-violet flame.
Copernicium
An element with a really short half-life! The copernicium is completely synthetic and radioactive.
Gallium
Itās a soft metal. Liquid gallium is greyish and solid gallium is bright silver.
