The Monster Energy Supercross Championship is coming off its first of two breaks in the seventeen-race schedule, an early pause that allowed everyone a moment to regroup from the opening stretch and get ready for a six-week run across six states that will determine one of the biggest years in the history of the series. It's impossible to overstate the competitiveness of the 450 Class right now, as multiple winners and jumbled results mean the red plate has been traded three times and put 24 points between the top eight in the standings. Riders faced all sorts of challenges from Anaheim One to Arizona, including the stresses of the opening round and a Triple Crown in Orange County, back-to-back mud races in California, surprisingly soft dirt in Michigan, and hard pack in Arizona. But what happens from Arlington to St. Louis will ultimately separate the pack, and within a few weeks, we will see which riders are truly contenders for the title, who will fight it out over a spot in the top five, and unfortunately, who will be dropped due to injuries or bad races.
