In this live stream, Sector035, Ines Narciso, and Ginsberg5150 played the GeoGuessr daily challenge and then discussed events and how to prepare and plan when you want to do an OSINT investigation on an event.
We discussed how important it is to understand the scale of the event, how much content will be available, and distinguish between events that you have too much data from not enough data. For the second type, we discussed issues like trying different platforms, even nationally bound ones, using keywords and hashtags connected to the event, the location and the actors involved to find data and finally how to prepare for the collection of stories that will only be available for a couple of hours.
