Today, we find out that having a good wife who always looks for the good in things can be a blessing in “Gudbrand on the Hillside.” Gudbrand and his wife have a great marriage; they trust each other completely, so when his wife suggests getting rid of the second cow to make it easier on her. Gudbrand agrees with his wife and immediately heads to town to sell the cow. Since no one wanted to buy the cow he decided to trade it for a horse, then for a pig, then a goat, sheep, goose, cock and finally sold the cock so he could have something to eat. On his way he stops at his friends and he tells him the tale. His friend bets him that his wife will be angry with him. Who will win the bet?
