This webinar, organised by the EUI School of Transnational Governance, took place on 12 January 2021. In this event, Carissa Véliz,Associate Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and the Institute for Ethics in AI, as well as a Tutorial Fellow at Hertford College, at the University of Oxford, presented her new book 'Privacy is Power: why and how you should take back control of your Data'.
The publication, an 'Economist Best Book of the Year' highlights the implications of our laid-back attitude to data and sets out how we can take back control, it provides a philosophical perspective on the politics of privacy, and offers very practical solutions, both for policymakers and ordinary citizens.
