Behold, here is my Final Build video for the second project in the Creative Engineering class taught by Mark Rober (on Monthly.com).
On my hobby farm I have some yaks. Gertrude is the most famous of them all. Once upon a time she had quite the following on social media. Gertrude enjoyed telling her fans about her adventures on a yak farm. She also loved to meet the visitors to the farm. She is like a big, friendly dog in the form of a yak. Gertrude has had her likeness placed on a t-shirt, hat, shorts and a hoodie but she has never made art until today.
This electrical engineering project was a fun challenge and I learned a lot in the process. Originally, I intended on having an Arduino control the servo in her neck, which would have rotated her head back and forth about 40 degrees, adding to the realism factor.
The googly eyes and the rodeo bull rider added to the completion of the build and the character of the project. Although the rider was not to scale. As you will see in the video, yaks are not real big animals.
Thanks for watching! Be on the lookout for future videos on my growing channel.
