Every child with special health care needs (SHCNs) deserves a healthy smile, but dental care is the second most common unmet health need for them. Pediatric Dentist Jeff Karp urges families to share their experiences with health care providers. The power of these experiences can be leveraged through professional telementoring networks (Project ECHO) to transform how others with SHCNs receive care.
Big Idea Talks are in the TED Talk style from experienced health care providers who are collaborating in new ways to advance health equity in their communities and beyond. The speakers have completed fellowships in Clinical Scholars, a national leadership program supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF).
