// Benchmarking your system with GTA V [How To] //
GTA V has a built-in benchmark. That alone is already surprising since it was not common back when it got released in 2015.
Simply fire up your GTA V game (single player) and go to your settings.
Next up either go to Graphics or Advanced Graphics and hit the "Tab" key or click on benchmark on the bottom right hand corner.
Before you do though, make sure you have the resolution and the details set to the desired level.
The benchmark will now run 5 scenes. Be careful, the density of people and cars is not fixed and varies a a bit with every benchmark. To even those highs and lows out, repeat the benchmark a couple of times.
After the scenes the game restarts itself. Your results can be found in the following Windows folder:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Benchmarks
The .txt files will include FPS Average, FPS Minimum and FPS Maximum, Time in milliseconds, frames under 16ms (60fps), frames under 33ms (60fps), your system and the details you have used.
