Welcome to our video about Oktoberfest 2019 in Munich, Germany! We attended the last three days of this incredible, annual festival, and we LOVED it! In this video, we share some fun Oktoberfest facts as well as firsthand footage from our experience at the festival with our kids. Unfortunately, Christi fell ill when we arrived in Germany, so our Oktoberfest adventure was a little different than we had planned. But Jay and Chloe ventured out daily to enjoy the many rides, delicious food, and beer, (Daddy only)! :) We will share stats like, ‘How much beer was drunk during Oktoberfest 2019?’ and ‘How many sausages were eaten?’ and ‘How many times has Oktoberfest been cancelled in its history?’ Here are two bonus Oktoberfest stats! 1. Oktoberfest actually starts in September, not in October! This is mainly due to the weather being milder in Munich in September. 2. Why Oktoberfest and not Octoberfest? Well, simply put, in Germany the word October is spelt with a "k", and thus you have Oktoberfest! We highly recommend visiting Oktoberfest with your family. Unfortunately but understandably, Oktoberfest 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic. We were fortunate to have experienced this remarkable event before the world changed. We look forward to attending Oktoberfest in Munich again in the future!
