The heat treat alone on a big blade like this was a huge risk and to make it even more fun Ilya did a water quench. Asta's Demon Dweller is bright and shiny when someone with mana wields it but when Asta uses it, it is quite crude. We decided to forge all of the parts and leave them as close to "as is" after forging to mimic this look and I think you will agree that it looks awesome!
