How's it going, everybody? It's Gavin. And I'm back today with another short video just going over exactly what it says at the top of this article, should I leave my iPhone VPN app on at all times? And this is a question I get a lot from newcomers to a VPN, you know, should I be leaving it on at all times to be properly protected? And before I answer that question, I'm just going to quickly go over exactly what a VPN does. And that is it encrypts your internet traffic. Meaning if you're surfing the web, and you're putting information out online, is protecting you from anyone who might want to take that information. It's encrypting it before it gets even to that point, so that it can't be taken and used in a way that you might not want it to be used. So continuing on, it really you know, depends on what you're using your VPN for, to decide whether or not you need to on at all times. Now, of course, it's a good idea to have it on at all times. You can be protected adequately, but there's a few compromises to that. There's a few downsides. One of them being the speed. If you always have your VPN on, you're gonna run into some, you know, some hitches some speed issues, something that might, you know, be detrimental to people who are looking to work a little faster and still be protected. But that all kind of depends on the VPN as well that comes down to what you're actually purchasing in terms of a VPN and what that's doing for you because they're all going to protect you they're all going to you know, give you good speeds but it is it's, you know, very dependent upon what it is you're actually looking for.
