Stuttgart 21 is much more than a train station - and the future main station is much more than an elegant work of art made of concrete. It consists not only of the 28 characteristic chalice-shaped columns, 26 of which have already been cast in concrete, but also of the tunnelends. There, the tracks from the incoming tunnel tubes branch out onto the eight platform tracks into the future station. In total, the station with its platform hall, northern and southern ends is almost 900 meters long.
