Mercedes-Benz and McLaren teamed up to produce the SLR McLaren, originally in Coupe form, before the 722 arrived as a more focused limited edition of only 150 units. These were followed by the SLR Roadster and then the 722 S - the latter again limited to only 150, however, the icing on the cake came with the final model, the SLR Stirling Moss, a tribute to the legend and his escapades in the 300 SLR of the 1950s, this time with only 75 made. In the years since, we've seen the likes of the Ferrari Monza SP1/SP2, McLaren Elva, and Aston Martin V12 Speedster, however, the SLR Stirling Moss stands out as the first to really try to this form factor. While I've been lucky to experience each of the others, there's something about this particular car that has always fascinated me, and how better to drive it for the first time than joining Dr Adel Quttainah for a run to the Kuwait Towers at sunset.
