Well, with more than 34,000 people killed by the Israeli military’s bombardment of the Gaza Strip, cities in the US, the UK and several European countries have witnessed pro-Palestine protests. Around 100 people got arrested in one day as pro-Palestine protests kept happening without stopping at university of Southern California and dozen more were arrested at the university of Texas in Austin. More than 100 people were also arrested and four police officers were injured during a pro-Palestine protest at Emerson College in Boston last week And now India has come forward and subtly criticized the United States over recent arrests During a regular media briefing, Randhir Jaiswal, a spokesperson from the external affairs ministry, indirectly criticized different parts of the US government that have been vocal about human rights and politics in India. Jaiswal emphasized that the true measure of democracies lies in their actions within their own borders, rather than their statements about other countries. When asked about the protests and the safety of Indian students on American campuses, Jaiswal said the Indian side has been following these events. “In every democracy, there has to be the right balance between freedom of expression, sense of responsibility, and public safety and order. Democracies, in particular, should display this understanding in regard to other fellow democracies. After all, we are all judged by what we do at home and not what we say abroad". India and the US have been commenting on each other's internal affairs.
