PE parts have been an important part of scale model builders for decades, as they allow subsequent detailing on the model that is not feasible in plastic. Etched parts offer everything from simple sets with fan grilles that are simply removed and glued on, to more extensive and larger sets, in which large and complex parts and sheets have to be bent, folded or rolled, to incredibly complex and sometimes tiny parts such as functional hinges, so there is something for everyone.
Often, however, the beginner is in the dark about why, or what these parts are needed for and how they are then properly separated, prepared, processed and glued.
Our video is supposed to give a little insight into the world of PE parts and tries to give a rough overview and to give answers to the most important questions.
