This is guide, howto enable NVIDIA accelerated 3D rendering and Wayland/Xwayland on Fedora 38 with NVIDIA 530.xx (530.41.03) / 525.xx (525.116.04) / 515.xx (515.105.01) / 510.xx (510.108.03) / 470.xx (470.182.03) proprietary drivers on GNOME 44.
Tested with latest NVIDIA drivers, I assume here that you have installed NVIDIA drivers using https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jvf-p82--Ic guide. This might work normally with any other installation methods too, but it’s not tested.
Following check on /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/61-gdm.rules file will disable Wayland:
ENV{NVIDIA_PRESERVE_VIDEO_MEMORY_ALLOCATIONS}!="1", GOTO="gdm_disable_wayland"
At least for GNOME 44/GDM users.
