During our bikepacking trip, we encountered diverse people and engaged in fascinating conversations about culture and religion. Our journey took us through the heart of Turkey, a country that bridges Europe and the Middle East. We experienced the unique blend of traditions, history, and hospitality that define this extraordinary region. One of the most remarkable moments of our journey was when we were warmly invited into the home of a Syrian family. The experience was both eye-opening and heartwarming, as we navigated cultural differences, shared stories, and enjoyed their incredible hospitality. While cycling further east I have to admit, that I also felt a bit out of place in this cultural setting and observing the contrasts to my well known ''western bubble'' left me reflecting on the nuances of culture and my own sense of belonging. 🍀Thanks for being a part of my journey!
