Digital art has a long history of creators pushing the boundaries of technology and their own expression, reaching as far back as experimental film. Now at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), digital art has its own unique exhibition. The museum is building a collection of media art, from a wide range of international and local artists. These works can experienced anywhere, thanks to PAMM’s new initiative, PAMMTV. “Perpetual Motion” is one of the latest streaming on-demand exhibitions. Foundational media art curator, Barbara London, reflectson how the ten moving-image artists in the exhibition have created a broad expanse of work. Part of the exhibition is “Painting by Numbers: Composition 6,” by artist Richard Garet.

Viewers can step into a 3-channel video space to be immersed in the works which all explore the interconnectedness of the virtual and natural world. Or they can view the selections in PAMM.TV Artists Leo Castañeda and Fabiola Larios both had works commissioned for this exhibition and reflect on their unique blend of influences.
