A friend of mine's Samsung LE32R74BD LCD television packed in. Wouldn't switch on, all it would do was flash its power LED on and off. It turns out that the fix is quite easy and very cheap!
The same power supply board and/or power supply IC are used in a number of models, also some other brands. If you've got the same fault, it's worth checking out. The part number of the IC replaced in this video is F9222L although some evidence on the internet suggests a F9223L can be used instead.
