Recorded in 3840x2160 and all settings on EPIC with Nvidia app in 120 Mb/s with some RTSS running to benchmark the performance.
You should be paid to playtest this not the other way around, fact that they have to run infrastructure and that creates huge cost is a design choice of the developer that is not allowing dedicated servers + releasing something that at best should be spot tested during weekends on growing mass to assess the pressing issues and prioritize development :-)
Another title that shows how biased are those social media personas getting press preview version few weeks [or months] ahead, none of them talked about real issues. They will always stay as neutral as possible to get a chance for test with another developer. Completely unreliable people.
Overall:
- performance is terrible on 4090 nets less than 60 fps
- even with DLSS / frame generation / latency + boost / vsync off there is tearing and despite displaying ~100 fps there is tearing and stutter
- there are some huge in game stutter once in a while, often
- movement feels very sticky, let alone jumping fences or any type of advanced movement
- environment is far from impressive, it's just big map made out of repetitive models
- no roadmap whatsoever
Poor design choices at start:
- sound [one of pillars of such type of game] is hideous ,can't rely on it
- game starts in some random resolution so character creation is in low res
- no value ping referral for data center pick screen - also defaulted to EU player to Asia for some reason
- character creation very limited, each operator looks the same
- no tutorial of any type - whatsoever
- what is the meaning of the fraction choice at very start not over time with progress [stay mil, go rogue with villans or private]
On top of that you will have to buy base game and DLC to stand a chance there on maps, seems like tarkov p2w all over again - on the verge of refunding it to be honest. Base game should be either discounted by 75% or f2p overall.
PS. Fact that it is an EA title is not a valid argument, there were many titles, even from indie that did not have performance issues and were much more polished on start. If you start you journey by leveling yourself to the bottom... well you will get refunded.
